The Flint Hills Bridal Show is finally here! Since we moved to Manhattan, Kansas I have been counting down the days until this event!! Over the years I have participated in many expos and bridal shows. However, this will be my first one in Kansas!

When I was planning our wedding, I was unsure how to have a productive time at a bridal show. These are 3 key pieces of advice I think help all brides, no matter what stage of planning, at bridal shows…
1) Address Labels
Certain vendors will have “Enter for a chance to win _____” type drawings. Bridal Show pros know to create labels to stick onto those drawing forms. (This prevents you from writing the same info multiple times!!) Most brides use address labels or those name tag size labels. You can find them at your local office supply store. Simply type out your info and print a couple sheets!
What to include:
Bride’s Name
Groom’s Name
Address
Phone Number
Email
Wedding Date + Location
2) Stop and talk to vendors!
Okay, I understand every vendor has their own approach to bridal shows. Some are quiet and stay behind their table while others are out and about shaking hands and kissing babies. (Not really kissing babies, but you get the point. 😉 ) Please stop and talk to each vendor…We do not bite!! We are there because we care about you and your wedding!!! If a bride, who has already book their photographer, stops by my booth I am still going to chat with her! That bride might need a floral designer. I would be happy to recommend a floral designer that I feel would be a good fit for her.

3) Have fun!
It seems a little silly to say this, but have fun! Planning a wedding can get stressful. Bridal Shows should be a time to be inspired, meet local professionals and check a few things off your to-do list. Take your time walking through the show. Ask questions. Bring along those your love.
